What makes an otherwise conscientious person decide to drop their cup on the ground at a festival — resulting in a post-event wasteland of trampled plastic that degrades the grounds and is too dirty to recycle? We broke down the barriers to behavior change, including distraction, lack of personal responsibility, and practical pain points, for Heineken & Coca Cola to create a campaign based in positive psychology for their Plastic Back program.
