A WAVE IS JUST A CIRCLE DISPERSED BY TIME
What’s lost in a line? In this ever-emerging piece merging dance, sound, film, and landscape, we perform a collision of the linear structures of mastery with the cyclic reality of critical matter & mattering. In the first iteration at the Dwarsdriewer Residency Program in Kiel, Germany, we explored the omnipresent circularity within movement and life. We investigated what a simple form, such as a circle, could teach us about alternative ways of existing in the world. Searching for the circles in our physical movement resonated with the circularity of our affect, our thoughts, our ways to access conviviality with the living world. We listened to the different timescales of circles — in our bodies, in space, in other bodies of matter. We discovered that indeed, a wave is just a circle dispersed by time.

“Remember: the rules, like streets, can only take you to known places.
Beneath the grid there is a field - it was always there -
where to be lost is never wrong, but simply more.”
